Teen mauled by dog in Revere, MA

REVERE, Mass. (AP) — A 14-year-old boy who climbed into a fenced-in construction area near a Revere shopping center has been taken to a hospital in critical condition after he was attacked by two guard dogs.

Police say the boy and a 12-year-old companion entered a construction yard behind the Northgate Shopping Center at about 5:30 p.m. Thursday and were attacked by two Rottweilers.

The 12-year-old boy called the police, who had to shoot one of the dogs. The dog was struck in the leg.

The other dog was kept at bay with a hose.

The youth was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital. The dogs were taken to the Animal Rescue League of Boston.
