Numerous Charities Benefit Boston Marathon Bombing Victims

Finding new ways to help others in the Boston community is important to many citizens, including the Massachusetts Personal Injury Lawyers with Jason Stone Injury Lawyers. That’s why the firm was so excited to see the numerous charities that will benefit from donations collected by runners of the upcoming Boston Marathon.

A total of 72 runners have been selected to participate in the race for a charity of their choice, with a large number of those individuals choosing to support organizations helping the victims of the bombing that occurred at the event last year. The parents of an 8-year-old victim of the bombing selected the runners competing for a charity. Each would-be competitor had to submit an essay explaining how the bombing altered his or her life.

A tribute is also planned to take place on the April 15th anniversary of the bombing at the Hynes Convention Center. The event will honor the victims, survivors, and first responders whose lives were changed forever that fateful day. Boston Mayor, Martin Walsh, and Gov. Deval Patrick will host the event.

Jason Stone and his team of attorneys applaud the efforts being made to give back to those who lost so much almost a year ago. The firm urges citizens to do what they can to assist these organizations in their mission by donating to the cause. Citizens can also keep up with what the firm is doing to help others by following our social media outlets or checking out the Community Involvement section of our website regularly.
