Chrysler has announced they are recalling more than 800,000 of their vehicles due to Product Liability issues that put owners at risk of serious injury in the event of an accident.
According to an article from USA Today, the company announced it would be recalling roughly 500,000 Chrysler vans and Dodge sedans due to problems with microcontrollers located in the vehicles’ headrests that are used to prevent whiplash if collisions occur.
The latest announcement comes just weeks after the company announced a recall of 282,000 vehicles because of an issue with the vehicles’ airbag systems. Reports indicate that when a crash occurs the airbags on the opposite side of the impact could deploy rather than on the side the impact occurred.
The company announced that, beginning next month, affected vehicles should be taken to a local dealership to undergo full safety inspections and have any necessary repair work done to the recalled parts free of charge.
The MA Personal Injury Attorneys with Jason Stone Injury Lawyers recognize how dangerous driving a vehicle with faulty equipment can be. That’s why the firm suggests discussing your legal rights with an attorney if you have been hurt as the result of a failure of a vehicle part that was later recalled.
